As the fourth week of Covid-19 Level 4 sets in we’d like you to know we’ve taken time to keep providing our services in the safest way possible.

The team at Network Scaffolding Services are working in line with the latest protocols and procedures set by Site Safe, SARNZ and CHASNZ as of 21 April 2020.

Building a strong Network Scaffolding Service within Level 4

We’re putting wellbeing at the forefront at every level of our services.

We care about the wellbeing of the people we work with - our customers and our staff.

We’re in support of preventing the spread of Covid 19 through reevaluating and finding better and more hygienic ways of working.

We believe that supporting a healthy workforce creates a stronger network of people power to build with. Allowing us to continue to provide the best service possible.

Creating and constantly updating our action plan

We have been working hard to ensure the services we can provide during Level 4 are strict in following hygiene, health and safety guidelines provided by Safe Site and SARNZ in line with The Ministry of Health for construction environments.

What does that mean at Level 4?

  • We are open to essential businesses however operating a significantly reduced service to support the prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus.

  • Hygiene gloves are now mandatory to our work and face masks are provided too.

  • We are adhering to regular 20-second hand washing to help combat Covid 19 and following The Ministry of Health hand hygiene procedures.

  • We’re practicing on-site physical distancing at the recommended 1 metre apart.

  • We’re operating in strictly small teams so that physical distancing can be adhered to effectively.

  • Our staff have always operated via a paperless system and will continue this practice.

  • We have a record of who is on site at all times so that we can contact trace both for the safety of our staff and customers.

  • We’re following strict hygiene procedures as set by Site Safe that includes cleaning down all equipment and vehicles regularly.

  • We have strict hygiene measures in place around our common internal touch points - such as the use of pens, coffee machines, door handles and railings on site.

What kind of Scaffolding can be done during at Level 4?

We are currently open and working on some essential services in the Industrial sector.

One of our projects is in assisting Pacific Steel (Blue Scope) factory on maintenance work to get the furnace up and running again. We’re glad to still be able to provide our services to Pacific Steel at this difficult time as they are key to New Zealand infrastructure and the economy. We’re pleased to be able to provide the support we can to aid their business so they can continue to supply essential steel products to the construction industry. Keeping the construction industry in business is our shared goal.

As we see it the construction & building industry is one big supply chain that is key to New Zealand’s economy and we’re working hard to do our part, working in the best way possible to ensure the industry keeps ticking and doing so in the safest way for everyone involved.

How are Network Scaffolding Services approaching Level 3?

While we are on a reduced service we are taking the time to work on a comprehensive plan and protocol that is in line with Level 3 health and safety procedures and will provide an update on this as soon as we have it.

We’re here to build you up safely.
